EastEnders’ Martin Fowler disagrees with Lily over pregnancy decision

EastEnders spoilers follow.

Lily Slater is at odds with her stepdad Martin Fowler due to her pregnancy in EastEnders.

Earlier this week, Stacey Slater was warned by social services that her daughter could evict Lily if she didn’t reveal who the father of her baby was.

Lily swore an oath of secrecy to Stacey because she never wanted Ricky Jr or her father Jack Branning to find out the truth about her pregnancy.

On Tuesday’s January 10 episode, Stacey’s mother alarmed Jean when she insisted she wouldn’t break Lily’s trust by excluding her father.

Slaters and Martin were still at odds with each other about Stacey keeping Lily’s pregnancy a secret, but Freddie Slater was apologizing for accidentally telling the social worker that he knew Stacey’s father’s identity.

Lily hit her parents off, insisting she was tired of Stacey and Martin “deciding everything” for her. The discussion was cut short when social services arrived again to continue the investigation.

The social worker and detective explained that if they believed Stacey was withholding information from them, they had to add it to the security report. This could lead to Lily being evicted from the house.

Lily interrupts with her social worker to insist she’s not going anywhere. Lily confirmed that her father was “a kid from school” when they reassured them that they cared about her well-being.

Stacey ordered the social worker and the detective to leave the house due to the stress she had caused on Lily, but they made it clear that they had to come back to get a name from her.

At dinner, Martin tried to persuade Lily to reveal the name so she could “go on”. Lily surprised him by explaining that she wasn’t sure she wanted to terminate the pregnancy.

Martin, Jean, and Stacey had assumed Lily was going to have an abortion, and hadn’t really talked to her about it.

“I’m not a kid anymore and you can’t tell me what to do,” Lily told her parents.

“You can’t stop me if I want to have my baby,” she added.

What will Lily ultimately decide to do?
