4 minutes: Fulham 0-0 Chelsea

We always count snapshots/early impressions – if that’s true (not sure if I’m being honest…) then Joao Felix is a new Chelsea hero. In addition to that early in and mid cut, he quickly crosses his mid-circle marker as if he wasn’t there and calls the foul—delicious.

2 minutes: Fulham 0-0 Chelsea

It’s almost a great start for Chelsea and Joao Felix, who have most of the ball so far. The new guy plays on the right and does it brilliantly – and it shows why so much thought – cuts in for Havertz whose shot is blocked, goes low, comes back to him and sets up Hall – the young man’s shot recovered well written Leno

1 min: Fulham 0-0 Chelsea

After a minute of applause for former Chelsea manager and all-round good guy Gianluca Vialli, they set off in west London. Both in their usual home kits – Fulham in white and Chelsea in famous blue.

The teams took the field

So we’re a few minutes away from the start.

I’m really excited for this – it will be a good indication of where both sides are. Remember, Chelsea haven’t lost to Fulham since 2006…

West London bragging rights to grab

The Fulham are, for once, the best dogs (I used to think it was a typical West London dog, a chocolate labrador wandering around in a big Range Rover…)

Graham Potter told BT Sport: “We can collectively do better and evolve”

As Joao Felix begins…

“It’s a combination of many things: He needs some support in terms of his training, the quality and the talent the team has. He’s a confident kid and he just wants to play. He doesn’t spend that much time with the players, he just expresses himself.”

On Lewis Hall’s impressive form…

“He’s a young player. He has no fears. He has a really good left foot and a good physique. He’s played in big games and has always justified himself very well.”

About his position and Chelsea’s current form…

“Honest guys, we need to get three points. Sometimes it’s good to just talk, there are always things you learn and learn. There are things that are positive and things that you don’t need to fix. We all want to win, we have to work together. We’re in Chelsea and we want to win. Players have one “There is integrity. They know they can do better. There is a desire to do better. Try to support them. Collectively we can do better and improve.”

From Matt Law at Craven Cottage

Joao Felix starts Chelsea after a practice session and only gets his work permit on Thursday morning. This means that Graham Potter’s team will effectively be playing with two fake nines with Felix partnering with Kai Havertz. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang on the bench.

BT Sports announcer Jake Humphrey says…

…Chelsea looks confident. Add ‘body language expert’ to Jake’s long list of talents…

I’m not sure how you can measure this, but Joey Cole agrees with him.

BT Sport’s Joe Cole on the inclusion of Joao Felix starting tonight

“When you’re new to a club, sometimes it’s best to start early and get involved when trying to get to know your new teammates.”

Potter’s plight and today’s football turn upside down

The fact that phrases like ‘Graham Potter is under pressure to keep his job’ are written only half a minute after the respected manager took over at Stamford Bridge tells you everything you need to know about modern-day football and how it’s played. It is already detached from reality and rationality.

Anyone who wants Potter and Chelsea to succeed will certainly understand that four months (one of which has been suspended for the Qatar World Cup) is not a good time for a new manager to come and make his mark on a club. It has been a proverb of dysfunction for longer than most of us want to remember. If Potter is the right man to push forward Chelsea’s new look after Abramovich in September (and many thought he was), then he’s still the right man right now, regardless of the current results or that outrageous “current direction” phrase that’s in vogue. -of-travel indicators’.

The Premier League spills a lot of fun on the pitch. But for many who are addicted to drama, as if the seemingly not enough action of top-notch players, great goals, shocks, flashbacks weren’t enough. I’m sure the World’s Best League TM can survive without a between-game soap opera, and it’s good for everyone to remember that when discussing whether Potter will/would survive as Chelsea manager.

If Potter’s job is at stake then it’s ‘game gone’ if I use a phrase that I find somewhat annoying.

Here are the black and white suits

FULHAM XI WILL FACE CHELSEA: Leno, Tete, Adarabioyo, Ream, Antonee Robinson, Joao Palhinha, Reed, Reid, Andreas Pereira, Willian, Vinicius. Substitutes: Rodak, Kurzawa, Wilson, Cairney, Solomon, Chalobah, James, Diop, Harris.

Marco Silva made six changes to the side that won Hull 2-0 in the FA Cup. Bernd Leno, Kenny Tete, Tim Ream, Antonee Robinson, Joao Palhinha and Willian are the guys that come for this west London hum. Carlos Vinicius starts the game instead of the suspended Aleksandar Mitrovic.

CHELSEA XI WILL COMPETE WITH FULHAM: Arrizabalaga, Chalobah, Thiago Silva, Koulibaly, Azpilicueta, Zakaria, Kovacic, Hall, Mount, Joao Felix, Havertz. Substitutes: Badiashile, Jorginho, Aubameyang, Bettinelli, Ziyech, Gallagher, David Datro Fofana, Chukwuemeka, Cucurella.

It came as little shock to see Graham Potter making a few changes over the weekend on the side that was easily sidelined by Man City. Joao Felix made his debut immediately after playing on loan from Atletico Madrid until the end of the season. Also in the roster are Thiago Silva, Denis Zakaria and Cesar Azpilicueta. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who has done little to impress since moving to West London, is on the bench.

Good evening

Welcome to our broadcast for tonight’s Premier League match between local rivals Fulham and Chelsea. There’s been very little time Fulham has talked about their neighbors, especially at this stage of the season, but that’s where we are. Surely Chelsea can beat them with a win tonight, but that’s not the point. Graham Potter’s men are in a rage and are embroiled in a battle to compete for even the European qualifying spots.

Would a win take the pressure off Potter that much? Not really, but if they lose at Stamford Bridge it would definitely be a lot darker. This all came to light after it was revealed that Chelsea players had ‘save our season’ talks with their manager after their 4-0 loss to Manchester City last week.

Potter spoke openly about how difficult it was to find the job as the club changed shape following the change of ownership at a time when expectations were high – let’s not forget they won the Champions League.

“Reading the comments doesn’t do you any good because you don’t know where it’s coming from, and there are so many angry people in the world, and my ex-president – that’s a great saying – said ‘there’s no point in arguing with idiots because people are stupid,'” Potter said.

“I’m not saying that anyone who criticizes me is stupid, but you got my point. It’s hard to take anything from him. At the same time, it’s part of the job, it always has meaning and you want to understand where people are, especially when you’re in a foreign country. But it’s hard.

After a semi-smooth start to life at Chelsea, everything has gone downhill since then. Since beating RB Salzburg on 25 October, Chelsea’s form in all competitions has been as follows: they have played nine, won two, lost six and drawn one. Bad by almost all club standards. Chelsea fans seemed to let their feelings be known in recent games, with cheers for ex-manager Thomas Tuchel and ex-owner Roman Abramovich.

Asked if he has a message for Chelsea fans, who are planning to mention their names once again, Potter said: “I understand that we are not getting the results we want to get.

“I have great respect for Thomas Tuchel and the success he has achieved here by winning the Champions League. And as I’ve said before, it’s great what the previous owners have done, what they’ve accomplished, I have the utmost respect.

“After losing a game it’s really hard to process things logically, there’s a lot of pain and the only way to get rid of the pain is to blame someone else or something and it’s the head coach’s responsibility.”
