Grizzlies win franchise for 11th in a row, triple-double in Jokic Nuggets win

The Memphis Grizzlies beat Desmond Bane and Ja Morant for the 11th consecutive franchise record in a thrilling 115-114 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday.

Darius Garland fired a three-pointer into the bell, which was blocked by Dillon Brooks after Steven Adams tipped him off with 16 seconds left in Morant’s miss.

Bane had the highest score for the Grizzlies with 25 points, including five three-pointers on eight. Morant added 24 points and eight assists as Memphis climbed to 31-13 with 20-3 at home.

Morant spent time in the locker room after pressing his knee to his neck in the first quarter, but was back in the game in the second quarter.

The winner of the game Adams had 13 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists, while Jaren Jackson Jr had an excellent all-round game with 15 points, 7 rebounds, 2 steals and 4 blocks.

Memphis also led the 11th game in a row with 115 or more points.

The Cavs were missing Donovan Mitchell due to groin tension, and Garland had the all-time high of 24 points and 14 assists in five three-pointers on 11.

Caris LeVert had 23 points, 4 rebounds and 6 assists, while powerful forward Evan Mobley had 18 points, 15 rebounds and two blocks. The Cavs are now 28-18.

Trae knocks out Doncic as the Hawks take their fourth straight win

The Atlanta Hawks continued their streak of momentum with Luka Doncic’s fourth straight win over the Dallas Mavericks 130-122.

Dejounte Murray scored 30 points and four out of six threes, while John Collins had 19 points, 18 points plus 12 assists from Trae Young, and the Hawks had a season-high four-game winning streak to over 0.500. 23-22.

Traded as one of the top five for Young in the 2018 NBA Draft, Doncic scored 30 points for the Mavs, while only 11 points at the end of the quarter, with seven turnovers abandoned.

Jokic adds another franchise record in Nuggets win

Nikola Jokic recorded his 14th triple-double of the season, beating Alex English for the most assists in franchise history in the Denver Nuggets’ 122-118 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The MVP nominee finished with 31 points, 11 rebounds and 13 assists, beating the British franchise record of 3,680 assists on a dime for Kentavious Caldwell-Pope.

Jamal Murray scored 28 points and the Nuggets took their eighth straight win at home and their 15th straight win, leading the west to 32-13.
