Jeremy Renner’s sister said he was “crushing his progress goals” while giving a positive update on his recovery from a snowplow accident.
The Hawkeye star, who recently celebrated his 52nd birthday in a hospital bed, suffered serious injuries to his chest and back while clearing snow outside his family home near Lake Tahoe in Nevada on New Year’s Day.
Kym Renner told People, “We’re very excited about his progress. If anyone knows Jeremy, he’s a fighter and he’s a mess. He’s upending all advancement goals. We couldn’t feel more positive about the road ahead.” “

The Avengers star lost a significant amount of blood, suffered blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries, and underwent surgery after being accidentally crushed by a snowplow that she used to clear the heavy snow that had fallen outside her home.

Renner shares updates from his hospital bed with his fans and tells his 19.5 million followers: “Thank you all for your kind words. I’m too messy to write right now. But I’m sending love to you all.”
TMZ reported that it received a 911 emergency call recording from the crash.
He said the Hurt Locker actor was “totally crushed” by the plow, after which he had “extreme difficulty” breathing and bleeding heavily.
His Lake Tahoe home had been closed due to heavy winter weather and he was airlifted to the hospital after trying to open an exit for his family.
A spokesperson for the Marvel star said in a statement earlier this week: “We can confirm that Jeremy suffered blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries and underwent surgery today, January 2, 2023.
“He has returned from surgery and is in critical but stable condition, in intensive care.
“Jeremy’s family would like to express their gratitude to the incredible doctors and nurses who took care of him, the Truckee Meadows Fire and Rescue Team, the Washoe County Sheriff, the City of Reno Mayor Hillary Schieve, and the Carano and Murdock families.
“They’re also extremely overwhelmed and grateful for the love and support from their fans.”
The Lake Tahoe area suffered a severe snowstorm on New Year’s Eve, leaving a reported 35,000 homes without power.

Renner has a nine-year-old daughter with his ex-wife, Canadian model Sonni Pacheco.
