Martin Lewis, host of ITV’s popular show The Money Show, warned customers of a “massive” price increase for broadband and mobile services this April.

“My heart broke when the last 10.5% CPI inflation was announced last Wednesday,” Martin Lewis said in a Money Saving Expert email, adding that broadband and mobile firms base their price increases on it.

The finance correspondent pointed out that “most” of many businesses don’t stop there, collecting another 3% to 4% stake at the top.

The savings expert went on to describe the biggest increases announced in the past seven days, when IT and EE were at their peak.
