Scarlett Moffatt says she’s now kinder to herself when it comes to body image

TV presenter Scarlett Moffatt has revealed that she is at peace when it comes to her body as she struggles with her body confidence following vile online trolling.

“I finally feel like I’m in a place where I’m so cold. It all came together,” he told The Sun.

Moffatt revealed a year ago that he promised to finally get over the issues with his looks that have plagued him over the years since he rose to fame on Gogglebox.

“I’ve learned to be kinder to myself and I think for the first time I can truly say that I really trust myself.”

Moffatt said she and women like her were “bombarded” by images of weak people and impossible standards of beauty of any kind.

“Bodies are not ‘on trend’ like clothes. And once you accept that you look like that, life becomes a lot easier. Everyone’s body shape is different and that’s okay.”

Moffatt has spoken openly about his fight against trolling in the past and admitted that at a point when things were particularly bleak, he turned to the Samaritans.

The star is now an ambassador for the charity and said she sympathizes with online trolls and that those who send abusive messages online “probably need a hug and someone to chat with”.

Moffatt first came to TV screens on the Beauty School Cop Outs reality show in 2013, but really rose to fame a year later when she and her family joined the cast of Gogglebox.

Since then, Moffatt has presented numerous shows of his own, including a revival of Streetmate and Britain’s documentary Tourette’s Mystery.

Her newest show, Scarlett’s Driving School, will follow her as she tries to finally pass her driver’s license after failing 13 times.
